Although, located just 22 km from the widespread Badrinath, the trail has numerous hidden treasures. The small distance of Satopanth Lake Trek is well-compensated with a numerous change in sceneries. Before you start the trek, obtain inner line permits from the Forest Branch in Joshimath. It is sensible to hire a local guide for this trek.

Experience the spiritual Aura and solace at Kedarnath – It is a place right in the lap of nature, tremendously attractive and cold. The Kedarnath temple is open only in limited seasons. The doors of temple are closed on the next day of Diwali. They are opened then only in the month of May. In fact, Kedarnath is not a destination by itself, one has to stay at ‘Gaurikund’. Kedarnath temple is the place where one can visit for “darshan” and come back. It is indeed an eccentric place to visit, but there is a lot of trouble to be done to reach the temple. Visit Har ki Pauri, Haridwar – Ensure that you visit Har Ki Pauri in rainy season. You can spend 3-4 hrs here sitting on the stairs. There are number of restaurants, but you must visit Chotiwala Restaurant as the food quality is nice. Dipping feet in the cold water was an astonishing feeling. Har Ki Pauri is well-known for ‘Ganga Aarti’ which take place around 6:30 pm, you have to come prior to take seat as there are many other devotees. Make sure that you don’t forget to take newspaper to sit there. The incantation of Jai Ganga was so calming, one can really feel the peace in mind. The Upper road market is must to visit. Just be cautious while walking in that market in the evening/night as there are lots of vehicles and the place is quite crowded.
