Khajjiar- Khajjiar is a beautiful hill station, located in the Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh. Often known as the Switzerland of India, it is situated at an altitude of 1,951 meters and is located in the north-western part of the state. The place remains so cool. The local people of this area are extremely helpful, good in nature & very supportive. Very significant thing for this place is that it looks like Switzerland, so for middle class family couple can experience MiniSwitzerland by visiting Khajjiar. The Best Route is Via Pathankot then, you might take any Taxi or cab. Take some lemon & refreshment food for hassle free journey from any sort of headache.
Munnar-The name Munnar was aptly given to this place since it is located at the convergence of three rivers, which are Mudrapuzha, Nallathani and Kundala. The vast tea estates and coffee plantations are the primary base for the flourishing economy of Munnar, besides tourism. It is also known as the Kashmir of South. You will certainly fall in love with the tea gardens here and there is reminiscing of the British that would take you back in the history. Do visit the Tea Museum over there, relax and unwind. This city and it’s surroundings are filled with history and there are lots of places to see here. You can visit this place for the weekend so had to leave out some of the sights to see. Will have to go back again to see the sights properly at leisure.
