Great  picturesque views all along – the clouds seem to have just  descended beside you. The tunnels seem to never get over in the sheer number. It is a fantastic time Nice watching the local life go by, kids walking along the tracks to school,  local women carrying head loads of fodder/produce,  smoking bidis seemingly to feel warm in the chilly morning. You will  have Mixed feelings as soon as you reach Shimla station knowing that  the journey has come to an end. And an excitement takes over you as you look forward to explore the enchanting summer capital.

The views you will find get while you’re travelling through mountains by bike cannot be matched with any other experience. The best time to visit is in the month of September to October. You can also stay for a night in the adjoining place called Chitkul,  which is quite awesome. You can get  a chance to eat fresh apples from HPTDC orchards, which will make you feel really wonderful. You should try the minced chicken recipe from Chitkul, which is really tasty. You would love to go back there for sure.

River Rafting in Bea’s Rapid-The place was very good. The temperature is very nice. We did water rafting at Kullu which was the most exciting thing. It took around Rs. 750 per head for water rafting for 15 km. Beas is  considered one of the  strongest  and fiercest rivers in the country and white water rafting on the Beas is an experience not to be missed by an adventurer! The participants however, must keep in mind the chilling temperature of the river water as it is fed by the melting snow of the Himalayas.
