Places in Delhi that you must visit atleast once with your friends

lodhi gardenWalk in Lodhi garden , followed by breakfast at your favourite Destination Khan market – Jog, run, walk, do yoga or just sit quietly by yourself, you can take in the sights – Sheesh Gumbad ,Mohammed Shah’s Tomb, Sikander Lodhi’s Tomb, and Bara Gumbad.  In the morning you will   feel refreshed and rejuvenated at Lodhi Gardens , with birds chirping in the trees, and ducks quacking away in the tiny lake. After taking a few rounds of the park, ranging from 2 to 10 km, you can then head towards the Khan Market for a delicious and sumptuous breakfast. The morning walk here will make you feel like heaven. Also , The park has sufficient space and so you can run, do yoga, play and have wonderful time. Lodhi Gardens is a trueblend of the ancient and the modern time that embodies Delhi. You can even go there to see bureaucrats, politicians and industrialists, it gets crowded every morning from 7 to 8:30 am. However, it remains very clean and is well maintained place.

yamunaDrive through the Expressway and Visit the Taj Mahal – Go down the Delhi-Noida-Agra expressway and take a romantic and hassle-free drive to the monument of love , The Taj Mahal . The road is really very smooth and therefore the car moves at a speed of 100 km per hour. You will definitely enjoy the ride. It will take approximately 2 hrs 30 mins to reach the desired destination. Also , on your way you will come across the famous Buddh circuit in your way. Know that, if you plan to return to New Delhi within the 24 hours then it is better to buy toll for both sides.There are multiple routes from Delhi to Agra, but the fastest route to Agra – Yamuna Expressway and the toll of this route is expensive. The expressway starts from Noida and ends at Agra including the toll for the entire journey Rs. 320 for cars. The roads are spacious, empty and the car can easily cruise at a speed of 150 kmph but its better to controll the speed in order to avoid risking a tyre burst. Although there is no need to take a stop, there are food joints on the way where you can order refreshments and also stand – by to take break.

old delhiEnjoy your Food at Old Delhi – The chana bhatura, crisp puris, hot jalebis with rabri and the seasonal gajar ka halwa are absolutely delicious at Old Delhi. Also, when it comes to beverages you must have a glass of lassi. The old Delhi is famous for its street food i.e the chaats, kulfis, pani puri and the well- known parathe wali gali. However, there are few special paratha places that you might discover Delhi. You get parathas almost everywhere in Delhi and at all times. The best places to have paratha are Green Park, Moolchand, AIIMS, Sector 58 “The BPO Lane at Guptaji’s” Parathas and eggs. Almost all these set ups start around 11 in the evening and continues their selling till half past midnight. They again begin their work at around 3 am.

  2. Awesome list, totally agree with all the points! (Well, barring Lodhi Gardens in the morning since I haven’t done that myself!). Murthal dhabas are heavenlyyy, and I haven’t eaten at some of the places you mention for paranthas – must check them out 🙂 Great post!
